He was united in marriage to Teresa Garcia on August 1, 1986 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield, where they generously served the community in many leadership and charitable roles over their 40 year marriage.
Mark was a fixture in the local legal community for nearly five decades and had served as legal counsel to the three-member Cowley County Commission since March 1, 2012. In addition to his work as county counselor, Mark served as municipal judge for the City of Oxford and built a reputation throughout south-central Kansas for his professionalism, integrity, and commitment to public service.
For nearly 50 years, Mark practiced law, serving countless individuals, businesses, organizations, and government entities with wisdom and compassion. His reputation for excellence earned him the respect of colleagues, clients, judges, and public officials alike.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark will be remembered for his character. He was approachable, thoughtful, generous with his time, and always willing to share his knowledge and experience. He carried himself with humility, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to doing what was right. Mark was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and was an avid Notre Dame and New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Teresa Krusor of Winfield, his daughter Bethany Krusor of Topeka, his sister Janett Barkman and husband, Floyd of Overland Park, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
