Obituary

Marjorie A. Fox, 98 , of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday morning, March 27, 2020 at Winfield Senior Living with her husband, Raymond, of over 74 years by her side.

Born October 20, 1921, in New Salem, Kansas, she was the daughter of William Irvin and Ora B. (Stewart) Orand. She was raised and received her education in New Salem. She later went to work as an assembly worker at Sonner Burner Company in Winfield.

Marjorie was united in marriage to Raymond Fox on September 22, 1945.  The couple made their home in Burden, Kansas. Marjorie worked at Ankrom's Grocery Store in Burden, as well as selling Avon. After retiring the couple moved to Winfield in 2012.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Marjorie enjoyed camping, playing Dominos and Pitch, and visiting on the phone.

Her family includes her husband Raymond Fox of Winfield; her sons, Ronald Fox and Cindy Gardner of Mountain Home, AR; Roger Fox and wife, Katherine of Winfield; her sister Ougreta Horrocks of Winfield; her brother Donald Orand and wife, Judy of Wichita; her grandchildren, Randy Fox of Wilson; Keri Fox of Boise, ID; and her great grandchildren, Landon Fox and Sydney Fox.

In addition to her parents Marjorie was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Orand and John Orand, and two sisters, Beulah Stevens and Patricia Payne.

Private graveside funeral services will be held at New Salem Cemetery.  Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established in Marjorie's name for Burden United Methodist Church.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
