Obituary

Marion "Cary" Wallis, 58, of Winfield, Kansas passed away Sunday afternoon, March 7, 2010 at his home in Winfield.

Born December 22, 1951 in Pampas, Texas, he was the son of Marvin Andrew and Lila Mae (Bromlow) Wallis. He was raised and received his education in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Cary was married to Lea Ann Mohs on February, 27, 1969, in Guymon, Oklahoma where they made their home. He worked as a carpet layer. To this union a son was born, the couple later divorced. On January 21, 1974 he married Joanne Williamson in Guymon. To this union a daughter was born. The couple later divorced. He worked as a Roustabout in the oil fields, of Oklahoma for many years. In 1997 he moved to Winfield, Kansas to be near family. While in Winfield Cary worked as a Driller in the oil fields, and later for Ranger Tree Service.

His family includes:
His sons: Cary Marvin Junior Wallis of Jarrell, TX; Marvin Andrew Wallis of Tulsa, OK;
His daughter: Laci Campbell of Pawnee, OK;
His sisters: LaVonna Prewitt and husband, L.D. of Houston, TX; Glovena Hamby and husband, Larry of Houston, TX; and
His 7 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Cary was preceded in death by two brothers, Merdith, and Foy Wallis, and infant twins.

Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00. The family will greet visitors during this time.

A memorial has been established in Cary's name for the Bromlow Family Reunion. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
