Marilyn A. Teachman, 87, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Friday morning, August 14, 2015 at her home.
Born June 17, 1928 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Herbert and Mildred (Hamlin) Hopkins. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1947. Mrs. Teachman was united in marriage to George R. Teachman in Newkirk, Oklahoma.
She worked at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center in Winfield for 37 years as a Licensed Mental Health Technician, Funds Manager and Clothing Aid. She retired in 1988. Mr. Teachman preceded her in death on March 16, 2010.
Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winfield. She enjoyed traveling and collecting fine crystal and china.

Her son: Gregory L. Teachman of Palm Springs, CA; and
Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brothers, James Hopkins and Richard L. Hopkins, Sr.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 5 to 6:30 that evening.
Memorials have been established in Marilyn's name for the First Baptist Church in Winfield and for the Arthritis Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
