MARILYN REEVES, 70, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, February 3, 2011 at her home.
Born on July 13, 1940 in Oak Hill, Kansas, she was the daughter of Glenn Leslie and Anna Bryant (Rudy) Mitchell. She was raised in rural Oak Hill and later Longford, Kansas where she graduated from Longford High School in 1958.
She was united in marriage to Albert Crews in 1958 at the Clay County Courthouse. The couple later divorced.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Reeves on April 20, 1969 in Missouri. They later divorced.
In 1975, she moved to Arkansas City, Kansas. In the mid 1980's she attended Wichita State University where she received her bachelors degree in psychology. Marilyn moved to Texas in 1988 and resided there until 2000 when she moved to North Carolina. She spent time between North Carolina and Winfield visiting family. She was a homemaker and also a waitress.

Her daughters: Juanita Dolph and husband Jerry of Denton, TX; Deanna Andes and husband Kody of Winfield, KS; Frances Meisinger of Gatesville, TX; and Melissa Reeves and significant other Brian of Denton, TX;
Her brothers: Dennis Mitchell and wife Shirley of Ogden, UT; and Gary Mitchell of Soloman, KS;
Her sisters: Doris Lott of Salina, KS; and Glenda Hawthorne and husband Jim of Wichita, KS;
Her 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Mitchell.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
A memorial has been established in Marilyn's name for the American Lung Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
