Marilyn Sue Love, 79, of Dexter, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at her home.

Born August 15, 1942, a lifetime resident of Dexter, Kansas.  She was the youngest child born to Walter and Esther (Rowe) Glass at St. Mary's Hospital in Winfield, Kansas.  Her mother died when she was 18 months old and a host of family, neighbors, and stepmoms cared for her.  She was educated in Dexter public schools and graduated in 1960.

Marilyn married H. George Love and two sons were born to this union.  She worked at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center for 32 years, retiring in 1997 to care for her ailing husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Raymond, Glenn, Merle, and infant Larry Dale, three sisters, Wilma Rademacher, Pat Cox, and Wanda McVay.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas Love of Dexter, and his children, Michael, Haily, Payten; Brian Love and his wife, Pam of Winfield, and their children, Jacob and Jessica; a half-sister by birth, but a full sister by love, Brenda Erickson of Meeker, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Dexter Cemetery under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in Marilyn's name for the Dexter Fire Department.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
