Marie Ann Harris, 73, of Winfield, Kansas passed away Tuesday evening, January 12, 2021 at William Newton Hospital.

Born November 10, 1947 in Winfield, she was the daughter of Oscar George and Noelie (Gybels) Frieden.  She was raised in the Winfield area.  As a young woman, she worked several jobs including at a café and a drug store.

Marie was united in marriage to James "Jim" Harris on December 26, 1970 at Central Baptist Church in Winfield.  The couple made their home in Winfield.  In addition to being a homemaker, Marie worked for a short time at Southwestern College and spent over ten years as a caregiver at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center.

She was a member of GracePointe Assembly of God Church.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Her family includes her husband Jim Harris of Winfield; her daughters, Sylvia Stenli of Lubbock, TX; LeeAnn Sifuentes and husband, Tony of Kingman; her son Chris Harris of Winfield; her sister Brenda Adams of South Carolina; her 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her sister Betty Arndt.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at GracePointe Assembly of God Church in Winfield.  Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled for Monday evening, January 18, 2021 at Miles Funeral Service from 4 to 8.  The family will greet visitors that evening.

A memorial has been established in Marie's name for GracePointe Assembly of God Church in Winfield.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
