MARGARET WEBBER, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, December 19, 2012 at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.

Born on May 22, 1926 in rural Burden, Kansas, she was the daughter of John and Annabelle (Culp) Woods. She was raised and received her education in Burden and graduated from Burden High School in 1944. She later attended Wichita State University graduating in 1949.

She was united in marriage to Karl W. Webber on September 20, 1958 in Burden. They resided in Wichita and Derby where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several years. Margaret also served as church secretary for several years at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Derby, the First Baptist Church in Haysville and Grace United Methodist Church in Winfield. The couple moved to Winfield in 1991 following their retirement. Karl preceded her in death on December 5, 2004.

She was a member of the Central Baptist Church and the William Newton Hospital Auxiliary.

Her brothers: Kelly Woods and Robert Woods;
Her grandson: Cody Gerwin of Wichita, KS;
Her nephews: Steve Shorter of Hutchinson, KS; and Darrell Webber of Winfield, KS; and
Several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

A memorial has been established in Margaret's name for Envision in Wichita. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
