Marcia Maurine Lewis, 75, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at her daughter's home in Winfield.
Born September 10, 1939 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Frank and Chloa Juanita (Goodwin) May. She was raised and received her education in Winfield.
Marcia was united in marriage to Jerald Lee Lewis on January 8, 1955 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Winfield. Mr. Lewis preceded her in death on November 21, 1996.
Marcia was a manager of Peter Pan for twelve years. She later worked at Binney and Smith for 25 years. She enjoyed working at Binney and Smith where she participated in many activities including softball. She was well known for her cherry cheesecake.
She always enjoyed playing games with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed planting flower gardens and shopping for dishes at antique stores.

Her daughters: Brenda Scarth and husband, Michael of Winfield; Wanda McCullough and husband, Anthony of Winfield;
Her sons: Gerald Steven Lewis of Winfield; Tom Lewis of Winfield; Mark Lewis of Wichita;
Her sister-in-law: Kay Wells and husband, David of Arkansas; and
Her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Dean May and Orville Leon May.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas. Marcia's wish was to donate her body to Life Legacy Foundation.
A Memorial has been established in Marcia's name for the Huntington's Chorea Disease Society of America. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
