MABLE M. (LIVELY) CALVIN HUFF, 91, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Sunday morning, October 28, 2012 at Winfield Rest Haven.
Born October 19, 1921 in Hackney, she was the daughter of Ben and Catherine (Scott) Lively. She was raised in Winfield and attended rural Winfield schools, graduating from Winfield High School in 1939.
Mable was united in marriage to Ralph Calvin in Anthony, Kansas in 1940. The couple made their first home in Ottawa, Kansas. They also lived in Pratt, Kansas and Pryor, Oklahoma and Herrington, Kansas and returned to Winfield in 1943. He preceded her in death in 1979. Mrs. Calvin worked at Binney & Smith Crayola plant for 35 years as a packer. She retired in 1987. She also worked in maintenance at the Winfield Courier.
Mable married Earl Huff in Winfield in 1991. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winfield. She enjoyed helping people in need. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and working in her flower garden.

Her daughters: Jeanette Firebaugh and husband, Norman of Cambridge; and Terri Gray and husband, Ron of Haysville;
Her daughter-in-law: Janet Calvin (wife of son, Ronald Calvin) of Winfield;
Her grandchildren: Gretchen Gregory, Heather Cox, Lynn Calvin, Mark Firebaugh, Marcy Beckman, Kylie Hammer, and Courtney Gray;
Her step children: Robert Huff, John Huff, Richard Huff, Judy Oerke, and Carolyn Cox;
Her 15 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, Mable was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Calvin, her grandson, Larry Calvin, Jr., her step son, Jerry Calvin, her brother, Lloyd Lively, and her sisters, Goldie Anderson, Grace Carlton, and Ruth Lively.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
