M. KATHERINE HUNTSINGER, 89, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2013 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Born on September 8, 1923 in Three Sands, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Myrtie (Hicks) Bradford. She was raised and received her education in Oklahoma and Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Grady Moore in June of 1946 in Garber, Oklahoma. The couple later divorced. Katherine later married Wilbur Huntsinger on April 14, 1978 in Winfield, Kansas. The couple moved to Mt. Vernon, Missouri in 1978 and resided on a farm until 1993 when they returned to Winfield. Mr. Huntsinger preceded her in death on June 20, 2003.
Katherine was employed for the Defense Department and a physicians office in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was later employed for the Enid State School and the Winfield State Hospital for 17 years as a nurses aide.
She was a member of CornerStone Bible Fellowship Church in Winfield. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, cooking and watching the Walton's.

Her daughter: Myrtie Miller of Winfield, KS;
Her step-son: Virgil Huntsinger and wife Charlotte of Seattle, WA;
Her step-daughter: Kathryn Wauchope and husband Gary of Glendale, AZ;
Her sister-in-law- Dee Bradford of Tonkawa, OK;
Her 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, Wilbur, she was preceded in death by her son, Dean Moore; her brothers, Riley and Oran Bradford; and her sister, Thelma Huntsinger.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the CornerStone Bible Fellowship Church in Winfield. Inurnment services will be held at a later date.
Memorials have been established in Katherine's name for the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, CornerStone Bible Fellowship Church and the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
