Lucas Connor Walker, 28, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Lucas was born on September 29, 1993, in Winfield where he was raised and received his education.  As a young boy, he loved mowing lawns and shoveling snow for anyone that would let him.  He graduated from Winfield High School in 2013.

Lucas worked as an HVAC Tech at Central State Service in Quinter, Kansas.  He spent most of his life working as a mechanic, currently working at Jiffy Lube in Wichita.  He enjoyed working on old vehicles, spending time at a family farm, and coming up with nicknames for all of his friends and family. He loved animals and enjoyed taking in and saving strays.  Lucas had a great heart with a passion for helping others, he made friends anywhere and everywhere he went.

His family includes his son Lakum Marshall of Udall; his parents, Lori and Robert Christian of Derby; his sister Sarah Capron and husband, Erik of Oxford; his brothers, Kent Walker of Winfield; Garret Christian of Wichita; Mike Christian and wife, Kristy of Wichita; his grandmother Betty Christian of Wichita; his aunt Toni Baalmann and husband, Royce Williams of Winfield; his uncle Mike Christian and wife, Trudy of Mulvane; his cousins, Derek Brown, Tyler Williams, Chad Williams, Austin Williams, and Hannah Smith; his nephews and nieces, Caden, Braelynn, Bentley, Kenzli, Eilonwy, and Ava; and his numerous friends that he counted as family.

Lucas was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edwin and Joyce Baalmann, his brother James Christian, his grandfather Jim Christian, and an Uncle Davey Baalmann.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.  Private family burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.

The Lucas Walker Memorial Fund has been established for his son, Lakum Marshall's Education.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
