LOUISE LORENE McCLURE, 87, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday morning, February 24, 2008, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at St. Francis in Wichita.
Born on May 16, 1920 in Okemah, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Alonzo Dale and Ollie Mae (Pettit) Hagee. She was raised in Okemah and later moved to Denver, Colorado. She was united in marriage to Norman A. McClure in LaMar, Colorado on December 24, 1939. They spent some summers in Kaw City, Oklahoma and winters in Denver. In 1954, the couple moved their family to Kaw City and then in 1971 to Cambridge. Mr. McClure preceded Louise in death on September 20, 1992.
While in Colorado, Louise sold formals at Dupler's. She then worked for Smitty's for a while. Louise then made her occupation as a homemaker taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking for her family, making pastries and cream puffs and decorating cakes amongst many other delicious foods. She enjoyed needlepoint and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to watch television in her later years. She enjoyed Jerry Springer and the Shopping Network and was an avid wrestling fan.

Her grandsons: Terry McClure and wife, Rebecca of Winfield; Gary McClure of Burden; and Kevin McClure and wife Julie of Dexter;
Her 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at Burden Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. Online condolences may be made at www.milesfuneralservice.com.
