Louise Cordell, 99, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Winfield Senior Living.

Born June 9, 1921 on a farm near Prague, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Wesley L., Sr. and Lydia (Schima) Parkerson. The family lived near Prague and in Anthony, Kansas where she received her education.

She was united in marriage to Parker Cordell on December 25, 1937. Louise lived in Wichita, Kansas for 51 years and was employed at the Cadillac dealership there for 31 years, retiring from Bulger Cadillac-Oldsmobile on December 31, 1983. Mr. Cordell preceded her in death in 1980. Louise moved to Winfield in 2001. She was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Wichita.

Her family includes her daughter Linda Freeman and husband, Ron of Windsor, NC; and two grandsons, Roy and Ross Hall of Jacksonville, NC.

In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by her brother Wesley Parkerson, Jr.

Private graveside services will be held at Wilmot Cemetery under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
