Loretta B. Weller, 80, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 25, 2010 at Winfield Rest Haven.
Born October 29, 1929 in Anthony, Kansas, she was the daughter of William Ross and Bertha V. (Grey) Weger. She was raised and received her education in Anthony.
Loretta was united in marriage to Richard D. Weller, Jr., on March 03, 1945 in Winfield. In 1946 the couple moved to Northfield, Vermont where she worked at a sock factory. They moved back to Winfield in 1950 where she was a homemaker helping to raise the couples children. She also worked as a CMA at Wheat Road Lodge, then at Cessna Aircraft until 1972. Mr. Weller preceded her in death on September 24, 2001.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winfield. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, fishing, and especially loved raising her dogs.

Her sons: Richard D. Weller, III of Winfield; Charles Weller and wife, Karen of Arkansas City; Chris Weller and fiancé Lawanda Lewis of Wichita;
Her daughters: Barbara Dunn of Winfield; Naomi Weller of Derby;
Her 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Loretta was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachariah Cross, a daughter-in-law, Mary Weller and a son-in-law, Robert Dunn.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Wednesday July 28, 2010.
A Memorial has been established in Loretta's name for the Alzheimer Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
