Lola Marie Graham's Obituary
LOLA MARIE GRAHAM, 89, of Winfield, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 4, 2009 at Cumbernauld Village.
Born March 12, 1920 in the Tisdale Community, she was the daughter of William R. and Anna May Conner (Goodnight). She was raised and educated in Kansas and in Lincoln County, Oklahoma.
Lola was united in marriage to Hugh W. Graham on January 15, 1944 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Hugh's military career took the couple to 27 states including Hawaii and Alaska as well as England. They returned to Winfield in 1986. Mr. Graham preceded her in death on February 11, 2005.
Mrs. Graham was a mother and a housewife. She was a member of the United States Air Force Officer's Wives Club as well as a 50 year member of the Othello, Washington Order of the Eastern Star.
Her family includes:
Her daughter: Linda Rathjen and husband, Greg of Alpharetta, GA; and
Her grandchildren: Mike, Chris and Ty;
In addition to her parents and husband, Lola was preceded in death by her brothers, Claude, George, Edgar, Arthur and Charles Leo, and her sisters Ethel Zirkel and Lorena Keener.
A private family Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials have been established in Lola's name for Hospice Care of Kansas and for Cumbernauld Village. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
