Lois V. Biby's Obituary
Lois V. Biby, 100, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, July 10, 2017 at William Newton Hospital.
Lois was the daughter of Wylie and Lela Akers. She was raised and received her education in Winfield. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree and taught school as a math teacher for many years. She was united in marriage to Ted Biby on July 20, 1944 at Grace United Methodist Church in Winfield. Following her teaching career and raising her children, Lois took time to enjoy things such as quilting, painting, gardening, canning and freezing. Mr. Biby preceded her in death on January 12, 2007.
Survivors include:
Children: Carol, Roger and Parke;
Sister: Ruth;
Brother: Ward; and
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband of 62 years, Lois was preceded in death by a daughter, Lela, brother, Bruce and sister, Marjorie.
The family will hold graveside memorial services on August 15, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Lois' name for Grace United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
