Obituary

Lloyd E. Hawley, 79, of Atlanta, passed away Friday evening, June 19, 2009 at Via Christi St. Frances in Wichita.

Born April 3, 1930 in Cambridge, Kansas he was the son of Jennings Bryan "Jenks" and Ethel Mae (Garretson) Hawley. He was raised in the Cambridge area. He worked as a cattle rancher throughout southeast Kansas and northern Oklahoma all his life.

His family includes:
His daughters: Judy Amey and husband, Virgil of Cambridge; Becky Marinelli of Derby;
His sister: Ruth Hellman of Wichita;
His grandchildren: Marc Marinelli; Lori Creasser; Bobby Amey; and
His 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his son Bobby Hawley and his brother Leonard "Red" Hawley.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Cambridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 to 9. The family will greet visitors from 5 to 7 that evening.

A Memorial has been established in Lloyd's name for the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
