Linda Hayes, 64, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, November 9, 2015 at her home in Winfield.

Born January 27, 1951 in Chowchilla, California she was the daughter of William and Shirley Ele. She was raised and received her education in Chowchilla, graduating from Chowchilla High School in 1970. In 1971, she married William Wilmer. The couple was stationed with the United States Army in Germany and then Texas, they later divorced. In 1982, she moved to Winfield, Kansas.

Linda was united in marriage to Herbert Hayes on February 1, 1988 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The couple lived in Winfield where Linda was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, watching TV and cooking.

Her aunt: Suzie Panther of Chickasha, OK;
Her step-sister: Kimberly Imel; and
Her step-brother: Billy Alumond.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt, Betty Benjamin, and two brothers, Ron Ele and Robert Ele.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private family graveside will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Linda's name for the COPD Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
