Lillian E. "Dink" Selph, 95, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, September 15, 2019 at her home.

Born April 15, 1924 in Konawa, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Willie Robert and Mary Pearl (MacIntyre) Standifer. She was raised and received her education in Konawa, graduating from Konawa High School in 1942. After high school, Lily moved to Wichita with her sister to work at Beech Aircraft and help support the war efforts.

She was united in marriage to Arvey "Roy" Selph, Jr. on March 6, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas. The couple made their first home in Wichita where they owned and operated a grocery store. They moved to Winfield in 1959 and opened Winfield Motor Company. Lily worked as a bookkeeper at Winfield Motor Company for many years, retiring in 1996, when she and Roy sold the dealership. Mr. Selph preceded her in death on January 30, 2004.

Lily was a member of Winfield Business and Professional Women's Club, as well as being a member of a bowling league for many years. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, entertaining family and hosting family reunions.

Lily is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and caregivers.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a lifelong friend, Vernon Hankins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. that afternoon at White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita. A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 6 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 2 to 4 that evening.

A memorial has been established in Lily's name for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
