Leva "Maxine" Morrison, 92, of Winfield, Kansas, sadly left this earth September 10, 2025.  A devoted mother, a caring grandmother, and a fun-loving friend to many she will be greatly missed.

Leva Maxine Jones Morrison was born to Ruby and Hobart Jones on June 19, 1933. Maxine worked for EB construction for 35 years before retiring. She was married to George for 65 years, and the two had many adventures and travels including to Scotland and all over the United States.

She was an active volunteer with Wesley Medical Center at the Ronald McDonald House for many years. She was also active in the SCCA, Wine Club, Scottish Society, and with their church.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband George, her brothers Brownlow, Ed, and Floyd, her sister Cleta Ruth, and her parents.

She leaves behind her only child Jeffery Morrison and his wife Patty of Winfield;  her two grandchildren, Hannah and Sam; her sister Laurita Moore of Arkansas City; several nieces and nephews; and lots of other beloved family members and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Miles Funeral Service.  A reception will follow at the funeral home.  Private interment will take place at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Maxine's name for the Ronald McDonald House.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
