Letha Ellen Fox, 83, of Cambridge, Kansas, passed away Friday evening, April 14, 2023 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.

Born May 15, 1939 in Independence, Kansas, she was the daughter of Carl and Adalaide (Lewis) Ransbottom. Due to her parents passing at a young age, Letha was raised by her grandparents, Orville and Gertrude Lewis in Elk Falls, Kansas, where she attended school.

She was married to Richard Fouch on July 5, 1955 and to this union seven children were born. The couple later divorced and Letha was married to Frank Fox on May 10, 1991 in Winfield. She operated three restaurants in her career as well as being a caregiver for many years. She enjoyed being with family, attending reunions and cookouts, gardening, crocheting, crafts, camping, fishing. She also enjoyed watching Kansas City Royals baseball and KU basketball games. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Her family includes her children, Edward Fouch of Cambridge; Carl Fouch of Winfield; Caretha Fouch of Winfield; Terry Fouch of Cambridge; Katherine Laverty and husband, Eric of Nebraska; her extended family, Dena and Bob Wendell of Holts Summit, MO; Terri and Robert Logan of Wichita; Corky and Darcy Fox of Wichita; Donnie Fox of Wichita; Robert Fox of Wichita; Debbie Hamilton of Norwich; a sister-in-law Judy Ransbottom of Washington; and her 37 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren with one on the way, and 11 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Letha was preceded in death by two daughters, Beverly Shipman and Debbie Fouch, and a brother, Gary Ransbottom.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday April 21, 2023 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private family interment will be held at Cambridge Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Letha's name for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
