Leo Gilbert Meadows, 85, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday evening, June 22, 2018 at Winfield Rest Haven.
Born December 8, 1932 in Enid, Oklahoma, he was the son of Mike and Leona (Peckham) Meadows. Leo lived in Hunter, Oklahoma until age 13 when the family moved to Winfield and purchased the family farm. He graduated from Winfield High School.
Leo was a lifelong farmer and rancher. He raised registered Cocker Spaniels, sheep, hogs and cattle. He was united in marriage to Marilyn R. Callison on January 5, 1992 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Wi nfield. Marilyn preceded him in death on August 9, 2016. Leo was an avid coin collector.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marilyn.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will take place at the Enid Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma on Friday.
A memorial has been established in Leo's name for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
