LARRY DWAIN INGRAM, 61, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 in Greenville, Texas.
Born June 26, 1949 in Gainesville, Missouri, he was the son of Roy Herbert and Verna Vetta (Friend) Ingram. He was raised and educated in Gainesville graduating Gainesville High School in 1967.
Larry entered the United States Army in 1969, where he served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the US Army as a specialist due to medical disability. Larry worked for Coleman for eleven years before starting his career as a machinist for Boeing Aircraft Company. He retired from Boeing in 2005 and was currently working for Spirit.
Larry was united in marriage to Maureen Payton on December 24, 1971 in Douglass, Kansas. To this union, three boys were born. He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #3544 and the American Legion Post #10. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cards and gardening and working in the yard.

His sons: Justin Ingram and wife, Kim of Winfield; Ashley Ingram and wife, Melissa of Arkansas City; Nathan Ingram and fiance, Misti Knight of Winfield; and Roger Ingram of Kansas City;
His brother: Ray Ingram of Gainesville, Missouri;
His sisters: Verna Mae McGarr and Netta Scholfield, both of Wichita;
His grandchildren: Kaela Bond, Alyssa, Jesse and Jarett Ingram, Austin and Cole Ingram, Kaylee Perdue, Journey and Devan Ingram, and Heavenly Anjel; and
His great grandchild: Quincee Jefferies.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roy Ingram.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Winfield. Interment will follow at Floral Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday evening from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors during this time.
A memorial has been established in Larry's name for the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #3544. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
