Laramie Wade Miller, 35, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Wednesday March 11, 2020 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

Born October 3, 1984 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Dudley W. Miller and Marianne Blackburn. He received his early education in Sedgwick, Kansas, where he played football and basketball. The family then returned to Winfield where Laramie attended Winfield High School.

Laramie married Andrea Jacobs on September 12, 2008 in Winfield. To this union a daughter was born. The couple later divorced. Laramie worked as a roofer in both Winfield and Wichita, as well as spending time working in the oil fields. He began cutting his own hair and later cut hair for many of his friends. He was currently attending Barber School, where he excelled as a student and loved his work. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, coyote hunting, music, and drawing.

His family includes his daughter Aiden Mkayla Miller of Winfield; his sister Haleigh Whisler of Wichita; his brother Dale Davidson of Kansas City; his father Dudley Miller of Winfield; his mother Marianne Blackburn of Wichita; his uncle Barry Miller and wife, Debbie of Oxford; his aunts, Barbara Marler of Winfield; Linda Weathers and husband, Jed of Winfield; Connie Miller of Ponca City, OK; Kerri Miller of Winfield; and many cousins.

Laramie was preceded in death by a daughter Mila Jolie Guillen, his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Betty Miller, and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Virginia Scott.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private family interment will be held at Highland Cemetery in Winfield. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday evening, March 18, 2020 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will greet visitors that evening.

The Laramie Miller Memorial Fund has been established at RCB Bank in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
