Kyndell Elizabeth Smith, 13, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, August 10, 2017 at her home.

Born October 31, 2003, in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of Mark "Andy" and Elizabeth "Liz" (Johnson) Smith. She was raised in rural Oxford until she was 4 years old and then moved with her family to rural Winfield. She loved music, watching cartoons, and enjoyed the wind in her face outdoors. She also enjoyed watching and listening to her brothers and sisters playing games.

Her siblings: Kaitlyn Archer and husband, Buck of Derby; Dalton Smith and wife, Addie of Winfield; Trevor Smith of Winfield; Devon Smith of Winfield; Gage Smith of Winfield; Korie Smith of Winfield;
Her maternal grandparents: Melvin and Millie Johnson of Winfield;
Her paternal grandparents: Bob and Bertie Smith of Garden Plain; and
Her nephew: Zaidin Smith of Winfield.

Kyndell was preceded in death by a brother, Dallas Colby Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Name Catholic Church in Winfield. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. at St. Peter's Cemetery in Schulte, Kansas. The Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. at Holy Name Catholic Church. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials have been established in Kyndell's name for Children's Miracle Network and for Holy Name Catholic School. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
