Kris King, 53, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, February 5, 2014, at William Newton Hospital.
Born April 28, 1960 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Donald D. and Ila (Vaughn) King. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. After school he worked several jobs, mostly in the Winfield area. His passion was working on motorcycles and mini-bikes.
Kris was a member of the First Christian Church in Winfield. He enjoyed fishing and collecting and restoring vintage mini-bikes. He was always close with his family, and enjoyed keeping up with the accomplishments of his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

His sisters: Cindy Hanes and husband, Mike of Winfield; Terry Pike and husband, Rick of Ashland; Sharon Palmer and husband, Jim of Arkansas City;
His stepbrother: Terry Teel of Indianapolis, IN;
His stepsister: Suzanne Wright and husband, Brad of Columbia, MO; and
Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Kris was preceded in death by his stepmother, Elizabeth King, and a nephew, Todd Pike.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
