Obituary

Kevin R. Jennings, 55, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, July 29, 2015 at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

Born July 29, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the son of Gary Lynn and Charlotte Annette (Browning) Jennings. He was raised and received his education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating from Will Rogers High School in 1978.

Kevin was united in marriage to Edith Francine Howell in 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. To this union, three children were born. The couple later divorced. Kevin worked in sales for Dillards, Mount Warehouse, and Budget Video. He later went to work as a Network Technician for AT&T. He retired from AT&T in 1997 due to failing health.

He was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed going to church and spending time with family and friends.

His family includes:
His son: Christopher Scott Jennings of Arkansas City, KS;
His daughters: Leslie Robin Kerr and husband, Brian of Bixby, OK; Jamie Elizabeth Ashlock and husband, Robert of Arkansas City, KS:
His sister: Cindy Whitehead and husband, David of Tulsa, OK;
His brothers: Brad Johnson of Tulsa, OK; Louis "Peewee" Rooks and wife, Lynn of Turley, OK;
His five grandsons and one granddaughter;
His niece: Dacia Wayne of Glenpool, OK;
His best friend: David Houx and wife, Linda of Broken Arrow, OK;
His companion: Kathryn Moody of Winfield, KS; and
His friends: Eric and Beth Gove of Newkirk, OK.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Ervin Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, KS. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
