Kevin Bailey, 45, of Winfield, Kansas passed away Friday afternoon, October 4, 2013 at his home.

Born July 17, 1968 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Gary and Patricia (Shouse) Bailey. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. After high school he attended and graduated from Cowley County Community College with an Associates Degree in Business.

Kevin was married to Patricia Kent. They made their home in Winfield. To this union five children were born. The couple later divorced. Kevin worked in the maintenance department at the Winfield Country Club.

He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, and especially enjoyed coaching his children in youth sports.

His children: Meagan Bailey of Manhattan; Emily Bailey of Winfield; Zachary Bailey of Winfield; Andrew Bailey of Winfield; Isaac Bailey of Winfield;
His grandchild: Quinton Bailey;
His brother: Bryan Bailey and wife, Gail of Winfield; and
His sister: Lynda Colston of Arkansas City.

In addition to his grandparents Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Bailey.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday October 10, 2013 at Tisdale Cemetery east of Winfield. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Wednesday evening October 9, 2013 from 4 to 8.

A memorial has been established in Kevin's name for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
