Obituary

Kenneth Leroy Lemon, 74, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, April 21, 2018 at his home.

Born February 13, 1944 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Ralph and Lois (Adams) Lemon. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. After school Kenny worked for several farmers in the area. While he was young he also worked the Rodeo Circuit as a bull and bronc rider.

Kenny was married to Patricia Stevenson and to this union a daughter was born. The couple later divorced. He married Betty Adams on August 29, 1992 in Columbus, Kansas. The couple later divorced.

He was united in marriage to Phyllis D. Spencer on February 14, 2015 in Winfield. The couple made their home Winfield, where they were members of New Hope Fellowship Church. Phyllis preceded him in death on September 23, 2015.

Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and watching the hummingbirds.

His family includes:
His daughters: Kendra Ann Overall of Parsons; Teresa Anne Lemon of Canton;
His son: Rex Allen Lemon of Powell, MO;
His grandchildren: Christopher Lee Lemon, Riley James Laird, Douglas Wayne Kennedy, Tony Overall and Jeremiah Overall; and
Many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Kenny was preceded in death by, an infant son, a sister, Esta Schroeder, and three brothers, Howard Lee Lemon, Ray Arthur Lemon and Bobby Dale Lemon.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 27, 2018, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Inurnment will follow at the Udall Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Kenny's name for the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
