KATHY A. MCGONNELL, 58, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Born on March 29, 1952 in Topeka, Kansas, she was the daughter of John and Louise (Hedrick) Hooper. She was raised and received her education in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1970. Following graduation Kathy was employed by the State of Kansas. She was later employed at the Grant Glenn Law Firm in Topeka, where she was a legal secretary.
Kathy had resided in Winfield since 2009.
Her family includes:
Her son: Jeremy Cooper and wife Karen of Tulsa, OK;
Her sisters: Carol Wheeler and husband Vern of Topeka, KS; and Marcia Kemper of Topeka, KS; and
Her grandchildren: Madison and Hallie Cooper and Randi and Zachary Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Shane Patterson.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date in Topeka.
