KATHRYN D. BYERLEY, 59, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, May 23, 2009 at her home.
Born on August 26, 1949 in Call Junction, Texas, she was the daughter of Charles and Doris (Carpenter) Miller. She received her education in Atlanta, Kansas.
Kathryn had been employed at the Winfield Correctional Facility as a guard. In 2003, she began employment for the State of Kansas as an IRS agent until disability forced her to quit. She was united in marriage to George Byerley on March 20, 2003 in Winfield.
She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #10 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars #3544 in Winfield. Her hobbies included cookouts and visiting with friends, quilting and spending time at the computer.

Her step-sons: Lee Byerley of Winfield, KS; and Thomas Byerley of Ft. Worth, TX;
Her step-daughter: Stacey Robertson of Ft. Worth, TX;
Her mother: Doris Miller of Winfield, KS:
Her brothers: Kenneth Miller and Chuck Miller both of California;
Her 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Miller.
Cremation has taken place. No services will be held.
