Kathleen Ann Williard, 82, of Atlanta, Kansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 30, 2023, at her home.

Born August 18, 1941, in Smileyberg, Kansas, she was the daughter of Aubrey S. and Betty Susan (Bals) Holt.  The family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a short time and back to Atlanta, where Kathleen received her education, graduating high school in 1959.

Kathleen was united in marriage to Roland "Wayne" Williard on February 27, 1960, at the Atlanta Christian Church.  The couple made their home in Atlanta, where Kathleen worked at the Citizens State Bank for over 30 years.  Upon the closing of the Atlanta branch, she went to work at Union State Bank in Winfield.  Wayne preceded her in death on July 18, 2010.  Kathleen later enjoyed being a foster grandparent for Central of Burden schools.

Kathleen was a member of Atlanta Christian Church.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, and taking walks.  She loved farm life.

Her family includes her sons, Clint Williard of Atlanta; Jonathan Perkins Williard of Atlanta; her sister Janice Billiter and husband, Dale of Atlanta; her brother Sheldon Holt and wife, Cecelia of Enid, OK; her grandchildren, Aaron Williard and fiance, Ayron Reitan, Trevor Owen and girlfriend, Karlie Kingsly, Nicolai Williard; her great grandchildren, Blake, Alexis, and Ethan; and her step-great grandchildren, Cassy, Zoe, and Tommy.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kathleen was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Holt and Carolyn Enz.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 8, 2023, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.  Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M.  The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.  Services will be livestreamed through the funeral home website.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Central of Burden School District to benefit the Foster Grandparent program.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
