Karen Swint, 56, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, December 31, 2020 at her home.

Born October 1, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of Dale Chamberlain and Carolyn Gorges. She was raised and received her education in Eureka, Kansas, graduating from Eureka High School in 1983. She then attended Emporia State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1987.

Karen was united in marriage to Kurt Swint on May 24, 1986 at Faith Lutheran Church in Emporia. The couple made their first home in Emporia where Karen worked for Lyon County State Bank. In 1997, they moved to Udall and Karen began working for Cargill. She remained at Cargill for over 22 years. She enjoyed reading, needlework, watching Hallmark movies, and traveling. Her travels took her all over the world, including Europe, Las Vegas, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Her family includes her husband Kurt Swint of Udall; her sons, Kyle Swint and wife, Kati of Wichita; Kendall Swint of Nashville, TN; her sister Mary Scott and Kel of Leon; her stepbrother Shawn Shepherd of Rock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her father Dale Chamberlain, her stepmother Venita Chamberlain, her mother Carolyn Lilley, her brother Gary Chamberlain, and her sister-in-law Theresa Shepherd.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Red Bud Cemetery north of Udall. Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
