Obituary

JUNA L. DAWSON, 73, of Winfield passed away early Tuesday morning, August 5, 2008, at her home.

Born on November 28, 1934 in Elvins, Missouri, she was the daughter of Lee and Pearl (Moore) Major. She was educated in Fulton, Missouri.

Juna was united in marriage to Frank E. Dawson on June 23, 1957 in Fulton, Missouri. As a young person, she worked for Southwestern Bell and later worked at the Wonder Thrift Store for several years. She was a manager when she retired in December of 1996.

Mrs. Dawson was a member of the First Christian Church.

Her family includes:
Her husband: Frank of the home;
Her son: Scott D. Dawson of Winfield;
Her daughter: Robyn L. Tapia and husband, Daniel of Winfield;
Her brother: George Major and wife, Sue;
Her grandchildren: Michelle, Bryan and Jeremy;
Her sister-in-law: Frances Brickley and husband, Pete; and
Her brother-in-law: Eddie Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been effected. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Friends may sign a register book at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 5 to 9. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 that evening.

The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
