Julie K. Jenkins, 58, former Wellington, Kansas resident, passed away at her home in Winfield, Kansas on June 26, 2021.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

Julie was born May 11, 1963, in Wellington, Kansas to Novice Marlene and Gary Hutchinson.  Julie was a beautiful soul and had a passion for helping people, and loved her granddogs, Bambi, Sophee, and Winston.  At an early age, she enjoyed raising beagles and spending time with her dad on the trains.  Julie loved to cruise, listen to music, and spend time with her friends.  After graduating Wellington High School, Julie attended Brown Mackie College, where she majored in accounting.  Julie later married Marty D. Jenkins and they resided in Oxford, Kansas, where they raised their daughter.  They later divorced and Julie relocated to her hometown, Wellington, Kansas.  Julie enjoyed working as a Pharmacy Technician at Wal-Mart.  Julie later retired and relocated to Winfield, Kansas to be closer to her daughter.

Julie is survived by her daughter Laci Jenkins and fiancé, Darren Curfman of Winfield; mother Marlene of Dalton; aunt Marilyn of Wichita; Aunt Ginny of Milan; and numerous cousins and friends.

Julie is preceded in death by her father Gary Hutchinson, sisters, Lula Hutchinson and Joni Hutchinson-Ford, and brother Kevin Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sumner County Humane Society.  Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
