JUDITH E. ALLEN, 77, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, March 24, 2012 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Born on July 28, 1934 in New York City, New York, she was the daughter of Earnst and Erna (Olsen) Russell. She was raised and received her education in New York City and graduated from high school there.
Judith served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1955. She was a homemaker and in 1971 moved to the Wichita area. She had resided at the Kansas Veterans Home since 2004.
She attended Holy Name Catholic Church in Winfield and enjoyed reading and visiting with friends at the nursing home.
Her family includes:
Her son: Mark Allen of Wichita, KS;
Her daughter: Laurie Allen of Mulvane, KS;
Her 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery.
Miles Funeral Service in Winfield is in charge of the arrangements.
