Juanita R. Lazelle, 90, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 15, 2016 at her home.
Born August 19, 1926 in Burden, Kansas, she was the daughter of Marion S. and Lela (Gardner) Moore. She was raised and received her education in Burden, graduating from Burden High School in 1944.
Juanita was united in marriage to Fred Lundy in 1944. The couple made their home in Piedmont, Kansas. To this union, two children were born, Roger and Marcia. Mr. Lundy preceded her in death in 1950.
She married Reece Daniels in 1952. The couple made their home in Burden, where they owned and operated Daniels Market. Mr. Daniels preceded her in death in 1959. Juanita began working for the Cowley County Sherriff's Department in 1962 and remained there until beginning her career for the Cowley County Clerk's Office in 1975.
Juanita was united in marriage to James D. Lazelle in 1977. The couple made their home in Arkansas City. Juanita continued her career at the Clerk's Office until retiring in 1992 as the Payroll Clerk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Arkansas City. She enjoyed fishing and sewing.

Her sons: Roger Lundy and wife, Ruth of Gardner; David Lazelle and wife, Connie of Bogalusa, LA; Harold Daniels and wife, Carolyn of Abilene;
Her daughters: Marcia Stines and husband, Phil of Hutchinson; Lori Ann Futhey and husband, Rob of Grenola;
Her grandchildren: Mike Lundy; Krista Mealman; Cristen Bahr; Nicki Llamas; David O. Lazelle; Rick Daniels; Julie Mohn;
Her other special family: Roberta Moore; Kathleen and Sam Bowman; Skip and Connie Redford; and
Her 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 18, 2016 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas. Interment will follow at the Burden Cemetery in Burden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, November 17, 2016 from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors that evening.
A memorial has been established in Juanita's name for RiverCross Hospice in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
