JOSHUA A. CLIFFORD, 36, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 14, 2013 at his home.
Born November 21, 1976 in Winfield, he was the son of Mark and Debra (Newman) Clifford. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1995. Josh joined the United States Army Reserves on September 30, 1994. He was honorably discharged in 2004.
Josh worked at Boogarts Grocery Store, SMR Builders, Smokey's Small Engine Repair, Boeing and most recently Spirit Aerosystem. He was united in marriage to Heather Madrigal, and to this union, two children were born, Mark William and Isabel Rosa. The couple later divorced. He later met Mary Berry and they resided in Wichita, Kansas.
Josh was a member of the American Legion Post #10 in Winfield. He loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. His greatest love was his children and he loved spending time with them.

His nieces: Piper A. Lazelle and Brooklyn I. "Boogie" Stacy;
His grandfather: Bill Newman of Winfield;
His uncles: Mark Newman of Woodway, WA; and David Newman of Winfield; and
His constant K9 companion: Fonzie.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Yvonne Newman and Regena Winter, his grandfather, Robert Clifford, and his uncles, Gary Clifford and Michael Newman.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 P.M.
Memorials have been established in Josh's name for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Victory in the Valley, and the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
