Jon D. Krug, 53, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, March 10, 2018 at his home.

Born December 22, 1964 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of James R. and Misako (Tanaka) Krug. The family was stationed, due to J.R.'s military service, and Jon received his education, all over the world, including, Japan, England, Iran and Texas. He graduated from Central High School in Burden, Kansas in 1983 and then attended and graduated from Cowley County Community College. Jon then joined the United States Airforce and proudly served his country. Following his honorable discharge from the service he returned to Kansas where he attended Wichita State University. While attending school he worked as a Quality Control Manager at Rubbermaid before working at General Electric.

Jon excelled as a student as well as being a talented baseball player. He was very religious, generous, and had a strong faith in God. In addition to baseball, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

His family includes:

His brothers: Joe Krug of Winfield; Jamie Krug and wife, Sheila of Winfield; Justin Krug and wife, Chantal of Seattle, WA;

Jon was preceded in death by his mother.

The family will hold graveside memorial services on Friday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. at the Atlanta Cemetery in Atlanta, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest a memorial to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas.
