Johnnie L. Alsup's Obituary
Johnnie L. Alsup, 73, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 25, 2016 at his home.
John was born on August 21, 1942 and spent his early life with Winfield State Hospital and Training Center. In 1997, when the hospital closed he went to live at Martin Luther Homes in Winfield. He remained in their care through the transition to Mosaic.
John enjoyed attending Thursday School at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Arkansas City, Kansas. He also loved the outdoors, watching television especially Animal Planet and game shows. He also enjoyed listening to Christian music.
His family includes:
His Guardian: Robert Snively of Winfield; and
His Mosaic family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday June 29, 2016 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in John's name for Thursday School through the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
