Obituary

John R. "Jack" Wilson, 62, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, February 10, 2015, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield.

Born August 25, 1952 in Norfolk, Nebraska, he was the son of John W. and Lavene A. (Fleming) Wilson. He was raised and received his education in Norfolk, graduating from Norfolk High School in 1971.

In 1971 Jack joined the United State Air Force and proudly served his country as an airplane mechanic. He served for over 21 years until retiring in 1991. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Eudaly on October 9, 2010 in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their home in Winfield.

He enjoyed working on cars, watching television, and going out with friends and family.

His family includes:
His wife: Kathleen Wilson of Osage, OK;
His son: Brandan Wilson of New Jersey;
His daughter: Brenda Hughes of Derby, KS;
His mother-in-law: Peggy Eudaly; and
His stepsons: Allen Bodkins of Osage, OK; Scott Bodkins of Wellington.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Wilson.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials have been established in Jack's name for the Winfield American Legion Post #3544, and the Winfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
