John Howard
Hadsall

John Howard Hadsall, 78, of Winfield, Kan., died on May 3, 2019.
He was born on Sept. 11, 1940, to Howard and DeLee (Andrews) Hadsall and grew up in Anthony, Kan.
A '58 graduate of Anthony High School and an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, John graduated in '62 with a degree in music education from Southwestern College. He also earned a masters degree in music education from Colorado State
University and a school administration certification from Wichita State University.
He taught instrumental music in Kansas from '62 to '78 in Minneola, Wellington, Burden-Atlanta and Douglass, including three years spent as the principal of Atlanta Middle School. After enjoying the process of building a house for his family, John
retired from teaching and started his own carpentry and handyman business, remodeling and repairing various homes around Winfield until his retirement. He also spent many years working on the staff of the Walnut Valley Festival.
John is survived by his son, Jonathan Hadsall, of Winfield; daughter, Holly Taylor and husband, Mike, of Kechi; sister Savilla Stegall and husband, Eddie, of Wichita; sister-in-law Judy Hadsall, of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren Alex, Luke and Emily
Taylor, of Kechi; and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He joins his parents and brother, Jack, in death.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Grace United Methodist Church, located at 320 College St., Winfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friendship Meals program (make checks out to "Aging Products Inc.," 700 Gary Suite D, Winfield KS, 67156) or the Choroideremia Research Foundation. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
