John Keith Bailey, 67, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 10, 2022, at his home.

Born January 29, 1955, in Winfield, he was the son of William "Bill" and Leona (Cook) Bailey. He was raised and received his education in Winfield.

John was united in marriage to Pat Snow on August 22, 1975, in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield, and John began his career with the City in the Sanitation Department. He later transferred to the Water Department, where he remained until retiring in 2008. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with his grandkids.

His family includes his wife Pat of Winfield; his sons, Jeff Bailey and wife, Amy of Arkansas City; Jason Bailey of Winfield; his brothers, Marvin Bailey and wife, Linda of Winfield; Larry Bailey and wife, Connie of Winfield; his sister Ruth Thomas of Winfield; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Ramos and husband, Donnie; Brenden Bailey and wife, Taylor; Kayden Bailey; Colton Bailey and wife, Autumn; Cody Bailey and wife, Amanda; Caitlin Reid and husband, Frank; his great grandchildren, Luna Bailey, Kinsley Reid, Taiten and Brayliann Bailey, Taylor, Emory, Addison, and Maddison Burr, and Donnie III, Mariah, Arianna, and Khloe Ramos; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Merle "Dean" and Gary "Butch" Bailey.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Memorials have been established in John's name for the Cowley County Humane Society or to defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
