Joe McCausland, 85, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, May 18, 2022, at his home.

Joe was born August 28, 1936, in Downs, Kansas to his mother Georgia McCausland. At the age of three, Joe went to the Kansas Children's Home and in 1944, he moved to the Kansas State Hospital and Training Center. When the state hospital closed, he moved to Southwinds ResCare and finally CCL which became Capper Foundation.

Joe preferred a quiet atmosphere and his relaxed/retired lifestyle. He also enjoyed taking naps, eating good food, especially chocolate pudding, listening to music and TV shows, and socializing with preferred people.

He leaves behind his roommates and caregivers at Capper Foundation.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Private burial will take place at Rose Valley Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Joe's name for the Capper Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
