Jimmy G. Richardson, 72, of Derby, Kansas, formerly Arkansas City, passed away Wednesday evening, October 28, 2015 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Born November 4, 1942 in Arkansas City, Kansas, he was the son of Jewell W. and Gladys (Thomas) Richardson. He was raised and received his education in Arkansas City. Jimmy was united in marriage to Beth Eastman on May 29, 1962 in Arkansas City. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and owned and operated Triple R Construction.
Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger. He enjoyed carpentry and especially loved life and spending time with family.

His brothers: Bobby Richardson (Dorothy) of Arkansas City; Richard Richardson (Deloris) of Goodman, MO; Robert Richardson (Sherry) of Arkansas City;
His grandchildren: Shawn Mansell, Kayla Mansell, Nathan Mansell, Austin Richardson, Ashton Kelly, Arin Richardson, and Ryan Richardson; and
His great grandchildren: Dylan Goodsell, Ian Mansell, Madison Mansell, Kale Mansell, Lane Richardson and Cole Richardson.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Fry and his grandson, Christopher Mansell.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dexter Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mayo Clinic for MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy) Research. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
