JILL ANNETTE RATZLOFF, 45, of Rose Hill, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, February 6, 2008 at Via Christi/St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
Born on January 6, 1963 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Donald and Carol Waldschmidt. She was raised and received her education in Dexter and graduated from Dexter High School. Following graduation she was employed with Mauer-Neuer Packing Plant in Arkansas City. Jill worked at Huffy Bicycles in Ponca City, Oklahoma for a short time and in 1987 began employment with Boeing Aircraft in Wichita where she was a manufacturing engineer.
Jill returned to school and received her Master's Degree from Friends University in Wichita and also 2 Bachelor's Degrees from Southwestern College Campus in Wichita.
She was united in marriage to Patrick Ratzloff on May 4, 1991 in Hutchinson. The couple moved to Udall, Kansas and later resided in Cheney and Hutchinson. The couple moved to Rose Hill in 2006. At the time of her death she was employed at Spirit Aero Systems as a manufacturing engineer.
Jill loved spending time with her grandchildren and hunting for bargains at garage sales.

Her parents: Donald and Carol Waldscmidt of Dexter, KS;
Her brother: Jayme Waldschmidt and wife Ardelia of Dexter, KS;
Her sister: Jana Snow of Wyoming;
Her grandchildren: Dakota, Skyler, Autumn, Cara, Bradley and Cody and
A large extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 11, 2008 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Parker Cemetery, east of Arkansas City. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 10, 2008 and the family will greet friends during that time.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have memorials in Jill's name go to the Via-Christi Foundation/Heart Transplant Program. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
