Jeremy Scott Widener, 40, of Winfield, Kansas, lost his battle and gained his wings on February 1, 2024.

Born December 16, 1983, in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Coddy and Inza (Booe) Widener.  He was a loving father, brother, husband, uncle, and grandpa.  His favorite things to do included fishing, camping, and spending time with family.  Jeremy was married to Emily Widener of Winfield.  He lived in Wichita and Winfield.  He was funny and could make you laugh when you were down.  Jeremy loved making people happy and making the best out of any situations.  Every year, the family would go to the lake or river and enjoy swimming, fishing, and camping.  His children loved his enchiladas.  Jeremy always made time for his children, playing football or basketball and playing video games,

He is survived by his wife Emily of Winfield; his children, Zena Widener of Wichita; Xzandra Widener of Wichita; Albert and Gannon Widener of Winfield; his brothers, Tim, Everett, and Justin Widener, all of Winfield; his sister Angel Trainer of Wichita; his three grandchildren that he shared with Crystal Reppart; and his eight nieces and three nephews.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, his baby brother Johnathan Widener, and Charles Dunbar.

The family will hold private services at a later date.  Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in Jeremy's name to help defray expenses.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
