JEFFREY L. RYAN, Sr., 46, of Winfield, Kansas and Ticonderoga, New York, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010, following a courageous battle with Leukemia.

Born October 18, 1963 in Ticonderoga, New York, he was the son of Gerald E. Ryan, Sr. and Wilma (Hayford) Ryan.

Jeff attended Ticonderoga schools until his enlistment into the United States Marine Corps in 1980, where he received his GED.

Jeff resided in Ticonderoga for a number of years, working several different jobs, and then moved to Arkansas City, Kansas. He became a part of the Mead West Vaco Corporation, a plastics firm, and settled in Winfield, Kansas, where he met and married his wife, Vicki (Small) Whitehair on May 6, 2006.

His wife: Vicki Ryan;
His children: Jeffrey Ryan, Jr., and Jillian Ryan;
His stepsons: Kirklan Pauli, Ryan Doherty, Brandon Doherty, and Dillon Whitehair;
His sisters: Vicki Frasier and husband, Charles, Karen Pratt and husband, Steven, Wendy Barber and husband, Dale, and Willa Huntington and husband, Lenny;
His brother: Gerald Ryan, Jr.;
His mother-in-law: Sandra Small; and
Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and cousins.

Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 1 to 4 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time.

Funeral Services will be held in Ticonderoga, New York on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga.

A Memorial has been established in Jeff's name for Hope Lodge in Kansas City, Missouri. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
