Jeffery Hayward Miles, 71, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away March 18, 2025, at the Kansas Veterans Home.

Born September 3, 1953, in Winfield, he was the son of Hayward M. and Doris H. (Jones) Miles.

Jeff was raised and educated in Burden.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1971, and served in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska.  He worked in the construction industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, David Jonathan Miles and Paul Alan Miles.

Survivors include his daughter Londa Goodwin, Independence; sister Maureen (Ken Kallenbach) Miles, Winfield; brother John Martin, Seguin, TX; sister-in-law Lori Miles, Winfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private family inurnment will take place at the Burden Cemetery on April 12, 2025 at 12:30 P.M.  A visitation time with family and friends will follow from 2 to 4 P.M. at Grace United Methodist Church in Winfield.  Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given in Jeff's name to the Kansas Veterans Home or the Winfield Food Pantry.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
